Thank you to the mothers who joined us for the Grade 1 Mother’s Day Tea today—it was such a joy to see the students sing and celebrate their amazing moms! This was a unique way for our grade 1 classes to host a celebration assembly while thanking their moms for everything they do.
A quick reminder: Toonie Tuesday Popcorn Sale is coming up next week. Don’t forget to send $2 with your child if they’d like a treat! Also, next Friday is a PD, which means no school for students on Friday before the Victoria Day long weekend.

Staffing Update
It is with mixed emotions that I write to share some bittersweet news with you today. Our beloved Mrs. Clare, who has been an invaluable member of our teaching staff since New Brighton School opened, will be moving on to a new role next school year as an Acting Assistant Principal at Midnapore School.
While we are so excited for Mrs. Clare and this incredible opportunity to continue growing professionally, we will deeply miss her dedication, passion, and the positive impact she has had on our students, staff, and school community.
We know that she has played an important role in many students’ education, and we are confident that the skills, warmth, and compassion she has demonstrated at NBS will continue to inspire and make a difference in her new role as well. This new position will allow her to have an even greater influence in shaping the future of education, and we are proud to see them take this next step in their career.
I am sure you will all join me in congratulating her on this new adventure.

Families or individual children who will not be returning to New Brighton School for the 2025-2026 school year are requested to let the school know as soon as possible by calling the office at 403-817-3516 ext. 0. Informing the school of your intentions to transfer will facilitate the smoothest transition possible.
2024-2025 Yearbook Deadline to Order – May 16th
The deadline to order yearbooks for the 2024-2025 school year is Friday, May 16. For instructions on ordering, please click here. We may not have additional copies this year; do not miss out. Order yours today! Yearbooks will be distributed in June. If you are unsure if you have already purchased a yearbook, feel free to contact the office.

If you are interested in ordering a fun lunch for your child, please make sure to get your order in by the Saturday of the week before.
