Dear NBS Families,

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents and guardians who generously volunteered their time and energy to make both our Sports Day and the Patrol picnic at Heritage Park such a success! Your support—whether helping to set up, supervise events, cheer on students, or serve an icy treat—truly makes a difference. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we are so grateful for your involvement. Thank you for making these special days so memorable for our students!

Yearbook – A HUGE Thank You!

Our school yearbooks arrived this week, and they look absolutely amazing! We owe a huge thank you to one incredible parent volunteer who dedicated countless hours to sorting through photos and designing pages to create this wonderful keepsake of the school year.

Nicole Goede, we are so grateful for your dedication and effort. Your hard work made it possible for every student to have a special memento of this year. Thank you so much for making this happen!

Library Books – Due back next week

Our library has official closed to signing out books and we are asking for all books to be returned next week. Mrs. Gall has a lot of work to do to get all of the book inventoried and ready to go for next year.

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found has grown considerably since January, when we last donated unclaimed items to charity. We will be putting all Lost and Found items on display outside the front of the school during the last week of classes. We encourage parents to take a look when dropping off or picking up their child.

Reminder to Pay Your Fees

If you haven’t reviewed your myCBE account recently, we kindly ask that you take a moment to log in and check for any outstanding fees. This is the platform where families pay for school field trips and activities.

Currently, we have over $2,000 in unpaid or late payments. Please note that field trips and activities are cost-neutral, meaning the school does not make a profit from them. If unpaid fees continue to accumulate, we may be forced to limit the number of trips and activities offered throughout the year.

If you need assistance accessing your myCBE account, you can click here  or contact our office at 403-817-3516.

Field Trips and Fun Lunches

We have several field trips scheduled during the final month of school, and some of these overlap with our Fun Lunch dates. If you’re planning to order Fun Lunch for your child, please double-check their schedule to ensure they will be at school that day.

Please note the following:

  • Grade 5 students attending Outdoor School and Grade 4 students visiting Heritage Park on June 12 will be away and will not be at school for Fun Lunch.
  • Grade 1 students from Chen and Russell’s classes are going to Ralph Klein Park on June 19 will also miss Fun Lunch.

If you’ve already placed an order and your child will be away, you may contact Healthy Hunger to cancel the order or arrange to pick up the lunch at the school before 1:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that we do not have space to refrigerate unclaimed lunches.

Thank you for your understanding!

Are You Moving?

Families or individual children who will not be returning to New Brighton School for the 2025-2026 school year are requested to let the school know as soon as possible by calling the office at 403-817-3516 ext. 0. Informing the school of your intentions to transfer will facilitate the smoothest transition possible.
