Dear NBS Families,

Welcome to Calgary’s unpredictable spring weather—we truly experienced a bit of everything this week, from sunshine to cooler temperatures and everything in between! It’s a great reminder to have students come prepared for changing conditions each day.

We also successfully completed our fourth fire drill of the school year. These drills are an important part of our commitment to student safety, helping ensure that everyone knows the proper procedures and can respond quickly and calmly in the event of an emergency. We will be conducting two more fire drills before the end of June as we continue to practice and reinforce these routines.

Also, a reminder to please stay back from the front garden boxes that are marked with caution tape. We want to avoid disturbing the nesting ducks and help keep them safe during this time.

We have many outstanding field trip fees that have not been paid. Please check your PowerSchool accounts to see if you have any fees that have not been paid. The following are the total fees per trip that are missing:

Food Drive

Our Food Drive was a huge success! The winning classes were Ms. Serpico's, Mrs. Steedman's, Ms. Bell's, Ms. Gorsedin's, Ms. Stone's, and Mrs. Nette's. Each of these classes has earned a popcorn party to celebrate their efforts.

Next week, we will determine which grade team will receive the extra recess break for bringing in the highest number of items.
